Big Ticket Abu Dhabi has changed another life, as an Indian expat finally struck gold after 15 years of trying. Shameem Moolathil Hamza Moolathil, a 38-year-old driver from Kerala, won a luxury BMW M440i in the Big Ticket draw Series 278 held on September 3 in Abu Dhabi.
“When I got the call, I was both surprised and happy,” said Shameem, who has lived in Abu Dhabi for more than two decades. “You never really expect something this big to happen.

Shameem’s journey to becoming a Big Ticket winner wasn’t easy. For 15 years, he has been consistently buying tickets, often pooling resources with a group of 10–15 friends. This collective effort finally paid off with the luxury car prize.

Although he has not yet decided how to use his share of the prize, he said he and his friends will sit down together and decide as a group. However, one thing is certain for him: he plans to keep participating in Big Ticket.
