Salik, Parkonic, and Dubai Holding have unveiled the region’s first completely autonomous, AI-powered parking system in Dubai. This new service includes over 36,000 parking spaces, both on and off-street, in major communities throughout the city. The system utilises powerful artificial intelligence and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology to provide a ticketless, barrier-free, and human-free parking experience. Drivers can access and exit parking lots without waiting for tickets or engaging with employees. When the car departs the parking area, the parking price is immediately computed and charged via Salik’s cashless payment system.
This revolutionary device removes the need for manual inspection. It also decreases the possibility of overstay charges by automatically tracking parking duration. It also contributes to Dubai’s Smart City 2030 and Future Mobility Vision by increasing urban mobility, reducing traffic congestion, and lowering carbon emissions. The alliance intends to make parking faster, more effective, and ecologically sustainable. It also preparing Dubai for a future of self-driving cars and AI-powered services.
The project is entirely developed and managed in the UAE, with Parkonic providing AI technology and Salik offering smooth payment integration. Dubai Holding’s participation emphasises the significance of this initiative in Dubai’s smart city development. Residents and visitors to the affected communities will be the first to benefit from the new system’s convenience and efficiency. It also incorporates bilingual interfaces for increased accessibility.
