UAE Ranked Safest Country in the World in 2025

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ranks as the safest country in the world for 2025, according to the latest global UAE safety index released this week. The ranking acknowledges the country’s strong emphasis on public safety, exceptionally low crime rates, and robust national security efforts, which continue to make the UAE a safe place to live, work, and visit.

Scoring an impressive 85.2 on the index, the UAE outperformed 147 other nations, reaffirming its status as a global leader in public safety and quality of life

Gulf nations continue to lead in global safety

UAE ranked safest country in the world for 2025. Andorra follows closely with a score of 84.8, while Qatar ranks third at 84.6. Taiwan and Macao (China) take fourth and fifth place with scores of 83.0 and 81.8, respectively. The Gulf region stands out overall, with Oman securing sixth place (81.4), Saudi Arabia claiming the 14th spot (76.3), and Kuwait ranking 38th with a score of 67.3.

UAE cities are topping the global safety index rankings.

UAE ranked safest country in the world, and its cities are clearly reflecting that achievement. In the latest Safety Index by City, the UAE shines as a model of security and social harmony, despite being home to a population of over 200 nationalities.

Abu Dhabi tops the global list with a remarkable safety score of 88.8, followed by Ajman (85.5), Dubai (83.9), Ras Al Khaimah (83.8), and Sharjah (83.7). With five cities in the top six globally, the UAE continues to demonstrate why it’s considered the safest country in the world.

Other cities making the global top ten include Doha, Qatar (84.3), Taipei, Taiwan (83.4), Muscat, Oman (81.2), The Hague, Netherlands (80.0), and Tampere, Finland (79.5), showing that Gulf cities remain among the world’s safest urban centers.

Countries with the Lowest Safety Rankings

Haiti ranked lowest on the global Safety Index with a score of 19.0, followed closely by Papua New Guinea (19.3), Venezuela (19.5), Afghanistan (24.8), and South Africa (25.4). These rankings reveal the safety challenges these countries continue to face.

UAE Lowest Crime Rate Globally

In a related report — the Crime Index by Country 2025 Mid-Year, published by Numbeo — the UAE ranked 148th, placing it at the very bottom of the list, which reflects the lowest global crime rate.the safest country, as lower crime index values represent safer environments.

Haiti led the Crime Index with a score of 81.0, followed by Papua New Guinea, Venezuela, Afghanistan, and South Africa. These nations also ranked lowest on the Safety Index, showing ongoing safety and security challenges.

Abu Dhabi Maintains Its Position as the Safest City

The latest Crime Index by City as the safest city in the world with an impressively low score of just 11.2. The UAE once again stood out on the global stage, with several of its cities ranking among those with the lowest crime rates.

Ajman followed closely behind Abu Dhabi with a score of 14.5, while Doha  at 15.7. Dubai (16.1), Ras Al Khaimah (16.2), and Sharjah (16.3) also earned places among the world’s safest cities, further strengthening the UAE’s reputation for upholding peace, public safety.
