Abu Dhabi, UAE – July 16, 2025 – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a UAE weather alert, warning of dust storms expected to affect multiple areas across the country. Residents are advised to take precautions, while driving, as blowing dust may reduce visibility and disrupt daily routines.
A yellow warning sign is in place, signaling potentially dangerous weather conditions that could impact both visibility and outdoor plans.
The weather department forecasts fair to partly cloudy conditions on Wednesday, with a possibility of convective clouds developing in the eastern regions by the afternoon, which could lead to rainfall.
Although there’s a chance of rain in some regions, temperatures will stay elevated across most of the country. In Abu Dhabi’s Al Quaa, Razeen, and Mezaira, the heat is expected to soar to a blistering 49ºC. Dubai is likely to reach 46ºC, while Abu Dhabi itself could see highs of 47ºC.

The National Center of Meteorology issued a yellow warning sign valid until 5pm, cautioning that blowing dust and sand may reduce visibility to under 2,000m from 8:45am. Abu Dhabi Police urged drivers to stay alert and avoid filming while driving due to low visibility.
Temperatures will dip to 33ºC in Abu Dhabi and 35ºC in Dubai. Winds shifting from southeast to northwest may reach speeds up to 40kmph, causing dust storms in some areas.
The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will remain relatively calm.
