Dubai, UAE — After heavy rainfall in several parts of of Dubai and Al Ain yesterday, the UAE weather forecast now warns of soaring temperatures reaching up to 49 °C in certain regions. The extreme heat has raised the pressing question on everyone’s mind: Will it rain in the UAE today?
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicts that the intense heatwave will continue throughout the week. While skies remain partly cloudy in some areas, the chances of rainfall today are slim, especially in coastal regions. However, a few inland areas may still experience light convective rain or brief showers in the afternoon due to high humidity and temperature fluctuations.
Yesterday’s weather in UAE surprised many residents with unexpected downpours and thunderstorms in cities like Al Ain, Sharjah, and parts of Dubai. The rainfall provided brief relief from the heat, but also caused localized flooding, traffic delays, and waterlogging in low-lying areas.
Temperatures will spike, with Mezaira and Razeen in Abu Dhabi likely reaching highs of 49ºC. Dubai could see temperatures climb to 45ºC, while other parts of Abu Dhabi may reach up to 46ºC.
Humidity will rise by night and continue into Wednesday morning, especially in coastal areas.
The sea is expected calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea
