UAE weather forecast: Motorists on Abu Dhabi roads are urged to drive with caution this morning as a UAE fog alert remains in effect, with dense fog expected to limit visibility until 8:30 am, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). Meanwhile, rain in Al Ain and Dubai is also likely due to developing weather conditions in the region. The NCM issued red and yellow weather alerts indicating low visibility in these areas.
Abu Dhabi Police took to social media to remind drivers that speed limits drop to 80 km/h during foggy conditions. They urged motorists to slow down and drive safely to protect themselves and others on the road.
Rainfall today is expected as fair to partly cloudy and hazy weather prevails during the day, with chances of rainy cloud formations in the eastern and southern regions. Areas like Al Ain and parts of Dubai may see rain. The conditions are due to a weak surface low-pressure system extending from the east, along with an upper air high-pressure system.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts temperature highs across the UAE to range between 44°C and 49°C. In comparison, lows are expected to average between 32°C and 37°C.
Humidity will increase tonight and into Monday morning. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally freshening and causing blowing dust.
Sea conditions to remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman sea.
