From the big screen to high-intensity mobile action, Rebel Moon: Blood Line launched exclusively on Netflix July 15. Developed by Super Evil Megacorp, this top-down co-op shooter introduces new characters, and a bold new chapter in the universe.
According to Zack Snyder, Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game is the creative expansion he’s always envisioned — a perfect blend of story and action that lets fans experience the world like never before.
About the game
Set after the event Rebel Moon – Part Two, Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game follows a new group of rebels rising against the Imperium. While the world will feel familiar to fans of Zack Snyder’s space epic, the heroes themselves are entirely new and unique.
The game’s story zooms in on the Krypteia—tough, feared warriors who were the Imperium’s elite enforcers in the films. This time, players get a closer, more personal look at their struggles, adding new depth to Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon world.
Super Evil Megacorp pitched making the Krypteia heroes, and after some brainstorming with Zack Snyder, they created a twist: the Krypteia split from the Imperium after a thousand years, sparking rebellion.
This backstory sets the scene for an intense journey across the planet Krypt. Players will battle through diverse environments — from icy prison camps and blazing deserts to rich, mountainous strongholds — each packed with its own challenges.
At its heart, Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game is a fast-paced, top-down action RPG shooter. It combines quick, thrilling combat with deep progression, like Diablo meets Helldivers, but crafted specifically for mobile devices with impressive console-level quality.
Game Director Robert Gallerani sums it up perfectly: “It’s a Zack Snyder film, so there will be explosions everywhere. That energy fits perfectly with a combat-focused game like this.”
Players select from four unique classes:
- Bannerguard: Tank-like warriors who attract enemy attacks.
- Evoker: Support healers who use tactical ranged abilities.
- Kindred: Agile assassins specializing in ranged combat.
- Forsaken: Stealthy melee experts.
Each class offers its own skills, progression path, and reasons for joining the rebellion. This ensures players not only fight in different ways but also approach battles with different mindsets.
Whether playing solo or joining up with friends in 5-player online co-op, players must focus on strategy and teamwork. The developers promise a game with deep replay value, diverse missions, and a constantly evolving endgame full of tough challenges.
Built for mobile
Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game is available starting July 15, exclusively on the Netflix mobile app. The new game on Netflix, Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game, is launching exclusively through Netflix Games. That means it’s completely free for all Netflix subscribers, with no ads, microtransactions, or hidden fees to worry about.
“When we started working on the game, the films were still being made,” Hart said. “What really grabbed us were the ideas of found family and the stark divide between the unforgiving, industrial Imperium and the fiery, grassroots rebellion. Those themes shaped a lot of our creative direction. We also focused on developing a distinct look and feel that really pops on mobile platforms.”
Game Director Robert Gallerani said they debated whether to teach players certain tactics or let them discover them on their own—like using barrels to set traps and ambushes.
Blood Line dives deeper into the evolving Rebel Moon universe, expanding on the world introduced in the first two films.
If fans respond well, the game could kickstart a larger Rebel Moon multiverse.
Zack Snyder encouraged players to stay creative, saying it’s not just about increasing numbers but changing strategies and builds to succeed.
