Dubai Fire: Al Awir Car Showrooms Damaged in Massive Blaze

Multiple car showrooms at Auto Zone Dubai in Al Awir remained sealed off on Wednesday following the massive fire in Dubai that erupted over the weekend. Authorities cordoned off the affected area with tapes, as charred debris remained visible through shattered windows and the strong smell of burnt materials lingered in the air.

Eyewitnesses and staff from a nearby showroom in Dubai said the Dubai fire broke out on Saturday afternoon in one of the showrooms and quickly spread to adjacent outlets. Dubai Civil Defence teams responded swiftly, and videos circulating on social media showed them actively battling the blaze.

“The fire began shortly after noon at the VIP Stars showroom and quickly spread to the surrounding showrooms,” said a salesperson from Al Falasi Cars, which also sustained damage. “Our other showroom is located right opposite. We saw the fire spreading and the emergency response teams arriving.”

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the massive fire in Dubai damaged several cars, while officials continue to assess the total number of vehicles destroyed in the Dubai Fire. “We lost five cars from our showroom in Dubai alone,” said one staff member.

Workers in the area noted that Dubai Civil Defence teams responded quickly and successfully contained the flames before the fire could spread further across Auto Zone Dubai, which is home to numerous car dealerships and garages in Al Awir.

Auto Zone Dubai in Al Awir is a major hub for pre-owned and new car dealerships, with dozens of showroom Dubai outlets lined up in close proximity.

Authorities have urged residents to avoid the cordoned-off area as the investigation continues. More updates are expected once the damage assessment and forensic reviews are complete
