July 13, 2025 — Two Palestinian journalists killed Israeli airstrikes in separate attacks on Sunday. The strikes caused more death in Gaza as violence against media workers continues.
Fadi Khalifa died in Al-Zaytoun, Gaza City, while inspecting his destroyed home. At least one other person also died in the strike, local sources said.
Another airstrike hit a tent sheltering photojournalist Hussam Saleh Al-Adlouni. The blast killed him, his wife Suad, and their three children in Al-Qarara, near Khan Yunis.
WAFA news agency reported the family had been displaced and was living in the tent.
The two Palestinian Journalists Syndicate condemned the killings. It blamed Israel for a long record of targeting the press.
The total number of Palestinian journalist deaths in Gaza has reached 231 since October 7, according to local officials. The Committee to Protect Journalists confirmed 178 deaths, including 176 Palestinians.
Medical teams reported at least 92 more civilian deaths in Gaza on Sunday. Most occurred in central and southern areas of the Strip.
