UAE Weather Alert: Scorching Heat Persists, Rain Expected

UAE Weather Alert: Scorching heat continues to grip the country, with dangerously high temperatures raising the risk of dehydration and heat-related illnesses.

AccuWeather reports that Abu Dhabi is facing extreme heat today, with plenty of sunshine and highs of 44°C, prompting concerns about heatstroke. Tonight, the capital will stay clear and very warm, with temperatures around 34°C.

In Dubai, residents are enduring hazy sunshine and highs of 42°C. The evening will remain clear and warm, with lows near 34°C. Meanwhile, forecasters say some eastern and southern areas are expecting rain despite the ongoing intense heat.

According to a forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), Forecasters are expecting rain this afternoon as convective clouds form over eastern and southern areas, while the rest of the country will see fair to partly cloudy weather.

Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow today, becoming fresh to strong at times with clouds and causing blowing dust and sand. Wind speeds will range from 15-25 km/hr, reaching up to 50 km/hr.

Today’s temperatures will drop to 30ºC in Fujairah and rise to 44ºC in Abu Dhabi. Dubai will record highs of 43ºC and lows of 34ºC, while Sharjah will see a high of 43ºC and a low of 32ºC.

The sea will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman sea.
