UAE Weather Alert Today: Rain Forecast After Blazing 50°C

Dubai, August 1, 2025 — The start of the new month brings welcome news of rain in the UAE. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a UAE weather alert today as rainfall is expected to offer brief relief after parts of the country recorded UAE high temperatures exceeding 50°C on Friday.

The NCM forecasts rain in the UAE, likely to affect eastern and southern regions, including areas near Fujairah, Al Ain, and the Hajar Mountains. Convective clouds may bring light to moderate rainfall by late afternoon or evening.

Meteorologists expect the weather to remain fair to partly cloudy. Humidity will increase overnight and into Saturday morning over some coastal and inland areas westward, raising the likelihood of fog or mist formation.

On Thursday, July 31, Raknah (Al Ain) recorded a low of 24.3°C at 5:45 am, while UAE high temperatures peaked in Um Azimul (Al Ain), reaching 50.6°C at 2:45 pm.

Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds will blow at speeds of 10–25 km/h, occasionally reaching up to 40 km/h, and may stir up blowing dust.

Forecasters expect temperatures in Abu Dhabi to drop to a low of 34°C, while UAE high temperatures may climb to 49°C in areas like Sweihan and Gasyoura. In Dubai, temperatures are likely to reach a high of 46°C and fall to 35°C during the cooler hours.

The Arabian Gulf will experience slight seas, while the Oman Sea may see slight to moderate conditions at times.
