The much-anticipated War 2 trailer has finally dropped, and fans are thrilled by Hrithik Roshan’s return in a high-octane avatar. Set against the scenic beauty of Abu Dhabi, the trailer delivers explosive action, intense drama, and a glimpse into the new direction of the franchise.
Yash Raj Films is producing War 2, an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller directed by Ayan Mukerji. Aditya Chopra, along with Shridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala, has co-written the script. Serving as the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, the film marks the sixth installment in the expanding YRF Spy Universe.

The War 2 cast includes Hrithik Roshan, N. T. Rama Rao Jr, and Kiara Advani in leading roles. At the same time, Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor take on prominent supporting characters.
In the War 2 trailer, Hrithik Roshan returns as the ultra-stylish spy Kabir, performing daring stunts—diving through fire, battling in snowstorms, and moving with martial arts-like grace. Jr NTR, known for RRR, joins as a powerful antagonist, setting the stage for a fierce showdown filled with pride and purpose.
Kiara Advani adds both glamour and strength to the film, though her role remains mostly hidden, building anticipation for her big-screen impact. The action-packed Abu Dhabi scenes, shot over 11 days at the Corniche and Yas Island, elevate the trailer’s visual appeal.

The filmmakers will release War 2 in theatres on 14 August 2025 across multiple premium formats, including IMAX, 4DX, D-Box, ICE, and Dolby Cinema, making it the first Indian film to debut in Dolby Cinema. The film will also release in Telugu and Tamil dubbed versions and will clash with Rajinikanth’s film Coolie during the Indian Independence Day weekend.
